Friendly's Restaurant visit 09-2012

Friendly's is an ok restaurant, some good food and some under par. Usually the watress or waiter is young and forgets about your table. Also its usually crowded with kids and crammed like sardines.

I visited with some friends. I ordered a chicken club sandwich. The non breaded one because they have strips for the breaded, a cheap sub... My sandwich came unassembled and had to put it together. When I was done there was a side of about 8-10 fries how cheap. The sandwich was ok... no butter on the bread and no extra crap like some rest. put on for extra---fat flavor. The chicken was a good portion but should have added another handful of fries.

Girl ordered the chicken casadia which was fairly large and snagged a few which was good.

Other guy ordered burger and fries, same smeal had to put together and fries they are lackin. Other girl also complained about fries. And did not mention anything bad, but did not say it was good. I forgot what she ate.

I had to wait until the watress gave the check to get a second drink. Fail.

The Restaurant gets a C+.

Atmosphere is bad dark and gloomy mint colored walls.
Waitress should be taught to check table in mid eating.
Overall a bad experience

unless you eat out alot and want cheap but small portions of food.

Chun Bo "Chinese restaurant" Newton, NJ

I would like to tell you about a great chinese restaurant named Chun Bo.

Great looking building right on spring street in newton.

The staff are very friendly and they already have hot tea there on your order...
Hint Hint that is the sign of an old fashion chinese restaurant that is usually good.

I ordered the chicken and cashew combination
Girl ordered the General Tao's chicken combination.

I also ordered the sushi.
I like sushi but it has to be fresh. Had ones that smell and taste like fish... Not fresh!!
This sushi "and I had 5 orders before" from this place is fresh and very good. I even like the eel.
The Fresh sushi melts in your mouth and no smell at all. Girl had a taste, she never tried sushi and she liked it.

The combination plate comes with soup, egg roll and dessert. For 11.00 or so. Affordable and filling.
My chicken was juicy and the fried rice was very good. I like to see the egg in the fried rice.  Very filling and portion size is good. Girl's gen. tao looked good also except she finished it all before I could grab any. The chicken portions were large and you can see the chicken in the tao. With some restaurants you can't.

Dessert was a choice of ice cream or fruit, Chose the ice cream. Was about an extra large scoup in a ice cream dish. Great to end the meal not so much, just enough.

Did doggie bag the egg roll for later.

Service and atmosphere is excellent.

I rate this restaurant an A
I do come back often and do recommend to friends.

So give it a chance if you are in the area of Newton NJ
And you can skip the eel if you want, more for me.
